From Phuket to Krabi by Ferry: It is my Choice

Why did I choose the ferry over other options?

Traveling from Phuket to Krabi by ferry is a great way to explore Thailand on a budget. As a young traveler with limited funds, I found the ferry to be the best option for a relaxing and scenic journey. The ferry ride offered a perfect balance between cost and travel time, plus it gave me a chance to enjoy the beautiful Andaman Sea.

Simple. Going from Phuket to Krabi by speedboat was too expensive, costing THB 1200 or more. Riding from Phuket to Krabi by bus took too long for me, up to 4 hours. The ferry was affordable and comfortable. The bus took more time, and I wanted to enjoy the sea view. The speedboat was quicker, but the high cost wasn't within my budget. Traveling from Phuket to Krabi by ferry was the ideal choice.

Booking my ticket was easy with phuketferry.com. The website provided clear information on schedules and prices. I just selected my preferred departure time, paid online, and received my e-ticket instantly. The website also offers tickets for speedboats and buses if you prefer those options. If you are looking for a bus ticket, the website has options for that too.

The ferry ride itself was a memorable experience. The boat was comfortable, with air conditioning and ample seating. The view of the coastline and the Andaman Sea was stunning. I spent my time taking photos, chatting with other travelers, and soaking in the sun. The journey allowed me to relax and prepare for the adventures in Krabi.

Discovering Krabi Town

Once I arrived in Krabi Town, I discovered a wide range of cool things to do that made the journey worthwhile. One of my favorite spots was Railay Beach. Accessible only by boat, this stunning beach is a paradise for rock climbers and sunbathers alike. The limestone cliffs provide excellent climbing opportunities, and the pristine sands are perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun.

Another must-visit is the Emerald Pool. This natural hot spring offers a unique experience where you can swim in crystal clear waters surrounded by lush jungle. The vibrant green waters are refreshing and provide a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of town life.

For a bit of adventure and breathtaking views, I headed to the Tiger Cave Temple. This temple is famous for its challenging climb of 1,237 steps to the top. The effort is well worth it as the views from the summit are truly spectacular, offering panoramic vistas of Krabi's stunning landscape.

Another must-visit place is the Phi Phi Islands, also known as Koh Phi Phi. These islands are famous for their stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife. You can easily book a trip to the Phi Phi Islands from Krabi.

For those who prefer traveling by bus, the bus from Phuket to Krabi is another option. The Phuket bus terminal offers regular services to Krabi Town. The bus ride is longer but is an option if you don't mind the travel time. The buses are usually equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seats. If you start from Phuket Town, you can easily reach Krabi by bus. The bus ticket is affordable, making it a good choice for budget travelers.

If you prefer smaller vehicles, there is also the minibus 1996 service. This minibus service provides a quicker way to travel between Phuket and Krabi. It’s another budget-friendly option that combines speed and comfort.

Exploring Krabi was a blast, and I was glad I chose the ferry to get there. It was affordable, convenient, and offered a unique travel experience. If you ever need to travel from Krabi to Phuket, you can take the same ferry or opt for a bus or speedboat, depending on your budget and time. .
