If you want to go to Koh Lipe from Bangkok, it's also possible. You book ferry tickets or flights from Bangkok to Hat Yai or Phuket.

Koh Lipe serves as a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions. You can embark on day trips to destinations like Koh Phi Phi (Phi Phi island) or Koh Adang. Koh Rawi, and the Tarutao National Park, are also popular.

Furthermore, the island is an ideal starting point for island-hopping adventures in the Andaman Sea. The option to venture into Malaysia is also available, as the border is just a boat ride away.

From Phuket to Koh Lipe by boat

The only mode of transportation to reach Koh Lipe is by boat.. The nearest airports to the island are Phuket International Airport and Penang in Malaysia.

There is only one pier in Phuket from where you can find your direct ferry or speedboat to Koh Lipe: Rassada Pier.

From Rassada Pier to Pattaya Beach

Rassada Pier is Phuket’s main pier, there are plenty of ferries and speedboats depart this pier daily to Pattaya Beach, on Koh Lipe.

Best time to visit

From November till January, the weather is the most pleasant of all. The remaining months and the island are more crowded since the water is calm, the air is less humid, and the skies are clear.
