Silpakorn University Art Centre

Silpakorn University's Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts is the oldest fine-arts faculty in Thailand, and its art centre sits on the Wang Tha Phra campus on Na Phra Lan Road, directly across from the Grand Palace.

The galleries run a changing programme of exhibitions — degree shows, faculty work, contemporary Thai artists and occasional international projects — in a set of low buildings around a courtyard that was once part of a palace. It is free to walk in, rarely crowded, and a useful contrast to the temple circuit immediately outside the gate.

Because the programme rotates, what is on show changes through the year.
