Toe Boo Cliff
Toe Boo Cliff is the viewpoint above Ao Phante Malacca, the bay where Ko Tarutao's national park headquarters and main pier sit. It is one of the most popular short hikes on the island, rewarding visitors with a wide panorama for a relatively modest effort.

Toe Boo Cliff is the viewpoint above Ao Phante Malacca, the bay where Ko Tarutao's national park headquarters and main pier sit. The path starts near the headquarters and climbs steeply through forest, with steps and handrails on the worst sections, before opening onto a bare rock ledge.
From the top the bay, the pier, the river mouth behind it and the forested ridges of the island are all in view, with the Andaman Sea beyond. The climb is not long — most walkers are up inside half an hour — but it is hot work, and it is best attempted early or late in the day.
Ko Tarutao is a national park island: access, accommodation and boats are controlled by the park, and the season is limited.
