Walking Street, Pattaya
Walking Street runs for about half a kilometre at the southern end of Pattaya Beach Road, closed to vehicles in the evening. It is the concentrated centre of Pattaya's nightlife and makes no attempt to be anything else: bars, clubs, live-music venues and neon along the whole length, at considerable volume.
The seaward side ends at the Bali Hai pier, which is where the ferries and speedboats leave for Koh Larn and the islands offshore - so the same street is the city's transport link by day and its nightlife strip after dark. Several long-established seafood restaurants sit on the piers at that end.
It is unambiguously an adult district in the evening, and quiet and largely shut during the day.
