Phuket Philatelic Museum
The Phuket Philatelic Museum occupies the island's former post office on Montri Road, a low colonial-era building that is a piece of the town's history in its own right. Inside, the collection covers Thai stamps and postal history — commemorative issues, postmarks, the equipment of a working post office, and the story of how mail reached an island province before modern transport.
It is small, free of the crowds that reach the larger museums, and takes half an hour. For anyone already walking the old town it is a quiet, air-conditioned stop between Montri and Thalang Roads.
