Than Mayom is on Koh Chang's quieter east coast, inside the national park. The falls come down in several tiers, with a path climbing between them and pools at the lower levels.

Boulders at the site carry the carved initials of Rama V, Rama VI and Rama VII, who each visited - the same royal association that protects Than Sadet on Koh Phangan.

A national park fee is collected. The flow depends on rain and is strongest in and after the wet season; the upper tiers involve a steady climb.
