La gare de Surat Thani est un excellent hub pour le transport ferroviaire car c'est la seule gare de Surat Thani. Il existe plusieurs moyens de se rendre à la gare. Le premier moyen est par bus. Surat Thani dispose de 3 stations de bus qui proposent plusieurs trajets en bus ou en minibus par jour vers la gare ferroviaire et d'autres lieux. Un autre moyen de transport est la combinaison bateau et bus, utilisée lorsque vous êtes sur l'une des îles environnantes comme Koh Tao, Koh Phangan ou Koh Samui car il faudra prendre un bateau suivi d'un trajet en bus jusqu'à la gare. De plus, si vous vous trouvez à l'aéroport de Surat Thani, vous pouvez prendre un bus pour vous rendre à la gare. Si vous êtes prêt à payer plus cher, vous pouvez louer une voiture privée pour vous conduire où que vous soyez jusqu'à la gare.

La gare de Surat Thani est le principal centre ferroviaire de la ligne sud thaïlandaise. Elle est située dans la ville de Thakham, dans le district de Phun Phin, sur la rive est de la rivière Tapi. La station s'appelait initialement "Gare de Phun Phin" en 1915 et a été renommée plus tard. La gare de Surat Thani offre des services tels qu'un bureau de réservation à l'avance et une salle de consigne pour les bagages, et contient également de nombreuses agences de voyage. Un train passe toutes les 20 minutes, vous offrant de nombreux horaires.

At some farms you will get the chance to taste the oysters yourself, however, eating oysters does require a strong stomach. Hiring a boat to the farm is essential.
