It has maximum sustained winds of 148 km/hr and is moving westward at 15 km/hr. The typhoon is projected to approach southern Hainan and the central coast of Vietnam from 11-12 November 2024, with expected downgrades to a severe tropical storm, then to a tropical storm, and eventually a tropical depression. The storm is not anticipated to impact Thailand. Travelers should monitor weather updates for their intended destinations. From 9-11 November 2024, the monsoon trough will extend across southern Thailand and Malaysia, with moderate southwest monsoon winds prevailing over the upper Gulf and southern regions, bringing isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall.
