Advisory: June 9–12: Expect heavy to very heavy rains, with risk of flash floods and overflows, especially in foothill and lowland areas.

- Small boats in the Andaman Sea and upper Gulf: Should remain ashore during this period.

The advisory window opened on 9 June and runs through 12 June, which overlaps the first three forecast days. Wednesday 11 June carries morning thunderstorms, so disruption is most likely early in the day. From Thursday onward the outlook eases towards cloud, scattered showers and partly sunny skies by Sunday 15 June.
Who and what this affects
Sea crossings are the most weather-sensitive services. Speedboats and other small craft are affected first — they are asked to remain ashore during the advisory — while larger vessels may continue with caution. Land services such as buses, minivans and private transfers are less affected by wave height, but heavy rain and localised flooding in foothill and lowland areas can slow road journeys and pier transfers.
Practical impact for travellers
- Wave heights this week range from about 1.2 m to 1.5 m — choppy to moderate rather than severe, but enough to make crossings uncomfortable if you are prone to seasickness.
- Book the earliest departure you can on days with a thunderstorm risk, and keep a buffer before onward flights or connections.
- Tide times shift roughly 40 minutes later each day; low water in the afternoon can affect shallow beach piers, so confirm your pier and boarding point when you book.
- Pack a light rain layer and dry-bag your electronics for open-deck seating.
- Check operator notices on the day of travel — cancellations and rescheduling are decided by operators and harbour authorities, not by the forecast alone.
