Temples in Phuket

Wong Temple

Wat Khao Rang

Jui Tui Shrine

Wat Chalong

Wat Phra Thong

Wat Srisoonthorn (Wat Lipon)

The first thing you see when you enter this temple is a big sleeping Buddha 29 meters high, it is so big that you can see it from the road. In the surroundings of the dormant Buddha; there is a lot of images in the form of lions and others that looks like ghosts, they are said to be the guardians of this temple. It is located in Thalang District in the North of Phuket.

Wat Phra Nang Sang

Two large statues hold the entrance doors of this temple for approximately 500 years. It is also known as “Temple Of The White Blood”.

Wat Suwan Khuha

Built inside a huge limestone cave, portraying the image of a reclining Buddha of 15 meters; the temple is also known as Wat Tham, or Temple Cave and decorated with colorful and cheerful mosaics. Here you have to be careful with the large population of tremendous monkeys that want to take food away from tourists. It is located 12 km west of the city of Phang Nga in Takua Thung District.

Kiew Tien Keng Shrine

This wonderful sanctuary has a privileged location that is close to the seashore and is considered the starting point for all the Gods, The unique, colorful shows of the final parades of The Vegetarian Festival takes place in this temple, which is located in Saphan Hin Park, Phuket.

This place is especially popular among young people. Karon Temple Market

It is a very nice flea market with street food stalls that are nice, clean, cheap and very rich. You can buy everything at very cheap prices. If you didn’t find something here to take home; it is certainly because you are not looking. It only opens on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 to 10 pm.

Between the walls of the temple; it is advisable to dress conservatively.

Phuket Floating Market
