Loh Dalum Bay, Koh Phi Phi Don
Loh Dalum Bay, Koh Phi Phi Don is the wide crescent on the north side of Phi Phi Don's narrow waist, directly opposite Tonsai Bay and a two-minute walk across the village from it. Its white sand and shallow turquoise water are what you look down on from the viewpoint.

Loh Dalum is the wide crescent on the north side of Phi Phi Don's narrow waist, directly opposite Tonsai Bay and a two-minute walk across the village from it. Its white sand and shallow turquoise water are what you look down on from the viewpoint.
The bay is very shallow and empties dramatically at low tide, leaving a long walk to the water; at high tide it is one of the calmest swims on the island. After dark the beach is the centre of Phi Phi's nightlife, with fire shows and bars along the sand.
The isthmus between the two bays was destroyed by the 2004 tsunami, which came in from both sides. A memorial park stands at the eastern end of the beach, and the evacuation route to the viewpoint hill is signed from here.
