Long Beach (Phra Ae), Koh Lanta
Phra Ae, invariably called Long Beach, runs about four kilometres down the west coast south of Klong Dao and is the longest beach on Koh Lanta. It has the broadest spread of accommodation on the island, from beach bars with bungalows to larger resorts.
The sand is soft and the beach wide, and because of its length it never feels busy even in high season. The water deepens more quickly than at Klong Dao, which suits swimming better.
The road behind it holds most of Lanta's restaurants and bars. It is roughly fifteen minutes by road from Saladan.

- Khao Mai Kaew Cave, Koh Lanta — A large cave system in the island's forested interior, visited on a guided scramble by torchlight.
- Khlong Chak Waterfall, Koh Lanta — A jungle waterfall in the island's south-east, reached by a walk upstream - and dry outside the wet season.
- Mu Ko Lanta National Park, Laem Tanod — The lighthouse headland at the southern tip of Koh Lanta, with a nature trail and resident macaques.
- Bakantiang Beach (Ba Kan Tiang), Koh Lanta — A sheltered horseshoe bay near the island's southern end, and one of Lanta's best for swimming.
- Kaw Kwang Beach, Koh Lanta — The beach on the headland north of Saladan, looking across the channel to Koh Lanta Noi.
- Klong Dao Beach, Koh Lanta — The first beach south of the pier, wide and shallow, and the island's most family-friendly.
